A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed, and is, thereby, a true manifestation of what one feels about life in it's entirety. . . I believe in photography as one means of achieving an ultimate happiness and faith! - Ansel Adams

My gear

Please note that the pictures posted on this blog have been taken at various points in time with cameras of varying capabilities. However, to me my 'eyes' are the most important gear. After all, it is not the camera that takes the picture but the man / woman behind the camera. Beyond my eyes, I use the following -

Gear:
  • Currently I use the Nikon D90 body, Nikkor AF-S 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens, Nikkor AF-S 70-300 f4.5/-5.6G VR ED lens, circular polarizer & UV filters, and a tripod.
  • Additionally, I use the Panasonic Lumix FZ-28 as a handy accompaniment to shoot at sight. Its Leica glasses are truly brilliant.
  • Other paraphernalia include a photographer's vest, Olympus 8-16 X 40 binoculars, extra memory cards and a backup battery.
  • Next I am looking to buy a 500mm lens for wildlife photography. However, its price is currently a deterrent. Hopefully if I have a good year financially, I might just stretch myself!
